Backend Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services.

• Take part in decision-making and implementation processes related to system architecture.
• 
  
• Contribute to complex engineering problems, often where the solution isn’t immediately clear.
• 
  
• Ensure high standards in code quality and participate actively in peer reviews.
• 
  
• Participate in planning, discovering solutions, and initiating and driving innovations and improvements.
• 
  
• Support junior engineers through mentoring and the sharing of expertise.
• 
  
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 
  
• Stay up to date with backend development trends and introduce improvements where relevant.

What you’ll bring to the team

• 4+ years of experience in Java development.
• 
  
• Solid knowledge of architecture patterns, performance optimization, and scalability principles.
• 
  
• Experience in developing high-performance, high-load, scalable systems.
• 
  
• Passion for technical excellence and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• 
  
• Strong set of soft skills, including effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities, ability to clearly articulate ideas and solutions.
• 
  
• Excellent English, both spoken and written.
