Project Sourcing Manager

About the job

As a Project Sourcing Manager, you represent sourcing in new business development programs and in product development projects. This is a key position in ensuring performance of the external suppliers to reach our technical, commercial and customer requirements for new products and business opportunities.

Goals for this role is to make sure that preferred suppliers are selected for new products, and optimizing the QDCP-values (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Product development) enabling best practice regarding Time To Market, technical solution, first time right, and product life cost.

The position is based at the Polarium HQ in Stockholm.

You will

• Be responsible for purchase order management, coordinate and secure material and tools for prototypes and product development.
• Identify shortages for prototypes, follow up with suppliers to expedite material arrivals.
• In cooperation with Commodity Managers, R&D and PMO optimize product life cycle cost as well as safeguard value engineering.
• In cooperation with Commodity Managers make sure that preferred suppliers are selected for new business developments and R&D projects.
• Interact with SQE and R&D on part approval status.
• Set up and maintain correct sourcing master data in the system.
• Manage the handover of items ownership to the procurement team.
• Integrated Management System and observe its processes and requirements.

About you

• To succeed in this position, you need experience of project-related sourcing from a Tech- oriented industry and understanding the commercial process with external suppliers.
• You have a solid technical knowledge and understand company relations and transactions.
• Good knowledge of various Manufacturing Processes, technical innovation and ERP systems

• Knowledge within battery technology is considered an advantage but not a must.

• Excellent English-speaking skills, both written and erbal, other languages, will be considered an advantage.
